0621 field radio operator

The Marine Corps MOS 0621 is a versatile specialty that allows Marines to be assigned to a variety of units. These Marines are responsible for setting up radio communication equipment so that units can maintain contact with others.

Duties include: Setting up and tuning radio equipment, including antennas and power sources Establishing contact with distant stations Processing and logging of messages

Marines with this MOS can be assigned to any unit in the Marine Corps, including: Engineering, Artillery, Infantry, Tanks, AAV – Amphibious Assault Vehicle, Headquarters, Communications, RECON/MarSOC. The most experienced radiomen are usually assigned to battalion command and communication.
