1141 electrician

The Marine Corps 1141 MOS is the military occupational specialty (MOS) for electricians. Electricians use electrical theory and concepts to install, operate, maintain, and repair electrical power distribution systems. These systems can be underground, above ground, or overhead.

Electricians work on both indoor and outdoor systems. They may work on electrical systems in buildings, on generators, or on temporary lighting and heating installations for tents or other equipment while deployed. They also provide support during Humanitarian and Civilian operations.

To take the Advanced Electrician Course, students must have at least one year of experience in MOS 1141. They must also have certification of current sustainment for T&R event 1141-ADMN 1001.
