1341 mechanic

The 1341 MOS is the designation for heavy equipment mechanics in the Marine Corps. These Marines are trained in diesel engine systems and specialize in heavy construction equipment, such as front-end loaders. They perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and gasoline and diesel-driven construction equipment.

The first two numbers of the USMC MOS code indicate the career group an occupation belongs to. The last two numbers indicate the specialty occupation assigned to the Marine.

Marines with the 1341 MOS can obtain a journeymen license for better job opportunities in the civilian world.
