1371 combat engineer

The Marine Corps 1371 MOS is a Combat Engineer. Combat Engineers are responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining buildings, roads, and power supplies. They also use heavy machinery to clear minefields. Combat Engineers have a primary military occupational specialty (PMOS). They are open to Marines between the ranks of private and master gunnery.

Combat Engineers have a variety of responsibilities, including: Conducting engineer reconnaissance Emplacement of obstacle systems Conducting breaching operations Using demolitions in construction projects Using rigging devices and equipment to lift and move heavy objects and equipment

Combat Engineers are often under fire while they make repairs.
