2147 armored vechicle technician

The Marine Corps MOS 2147 is for Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) Repairer/Technician. This MOS involves performing basic automotive duties, including inspecting, maintaining, and repairing LAV vehicles and their on-board weapons systems. The course is designed for Privates through Sergeants who are designated to become a Light Armored Vehicle Repairman.

The Marine Corps also has MOS 2141 for Assault Amphibious Vehicle (AAV)/Assault Combat Vehicle (ACV) Repairer/Technician. This MOS involves performing basic automotive duties, including inspecting, maintaining, and repairing AAV/ACV vehicles.
