2629 technician

The Marine Corps MOS 2629 is a Signals Intelligence/Electronic Warfare/Cyberspace Operations Technician. Marines with this MOS are assigned to it after they are promoted to Staff Sergeant and complete the Marine Analysis and Reporting Course.

MOS 2629 analysts supervise communications security operations. They also: Develop and maintain records on target emitters Develop and maintain communications order of battle files Develop and maintain situation maps

The MOS 2629 requires formal analysis and reporting training. Marines with this MOS must also maintain language proficiency in their assigned 27XX language(s).

As of April 15, 2020, Marines with PMOS 2621, 2631, and 2641 will receive the PMOS 2629 when they are promoted to Staff Sergeant.
