The Marine Corps MOS 3051 is for Inventory Management Specialists. These Marines perform supply chain duties such as receiving, shipping, and stock control for Marine supplies and equipment. They also work with computer programs to help with inventory and storage.
Other duties include:
Locating and storing supplies and equipment
Rotating supplies and equipment using a first-in, first-out system
Safekeeping supplies and equipment
Maintaining handheld optical character recognition scanners, devices, and multimedia retrieval systems
Operating machinery such as forklifts and tractors
Operating bulk and small parts conveyor systems
Establishing field supply support areas
Marines with this MOS are licensed to operate machinery. They also follow regulations and policies.
