The Marine Corps MOS 4421 is a Legal Services Specialist. These specialists perform duties similar to paralegals or legal secretaries. They assist with operational, managerial, clerical, and administrative duties for the military branch.

Legal Services Specialists handle all types of legal work, including: Research Preparing forms, reports, wills, and powers of attorney Other documents that deal with legal and quasi-legal matters

Legal Services Specialists work in an LSSS, Law Center, or office of the Staff Judge Advocate. They assist military officers who have studied and understand law and are licensed attorneys.

After service, Legal Services Specialists can probably get work in a civilian law firm, at an insurance company, or as a civilian government employee.
