5954 air traffic control

The Marine Corps MOS 5954 is for Air Traffic Control Communications Technicians. These technicians survey, site, and install air traffic control communications systems. They also inspect and perform preventive maintenance to ensure proper operation. When faults occur, they diagnose and repair them.

Air Traffic Control Officers (ATC) serve as watch commanders or detachment commanders at an expeditionary ATC detachment. They may also serve as Facility Watch Officers or officers-in-charge at garrison ATC facilities.
