6092 structure mechanic

The Marine Corps MOS 6092 is for Aircraft Intermediate Level Structures Mechanics. These mechanics inspect, maintain, and repair aircraft structural components at the intermediate level. They are assigned job duties at the intermediate level as defined by the U.S. Marine Corps.

Marines entering the aircraft maintenance field receive MOS 6000, Basic Aircraft Maintenance Marine. After completing formal training, they are qualified to maintain air frames and aircraft components. Becoming an aircraft mechanic can take anywhere from 18 months to several years.
