6252 aircraft power plant mechanic
The Marine Corps MOS 6252 is a fixed-wing aircraft airframe mechanic. Marines with this MOS are trained to repair, inspect, and maintain airframe components on specific fixed-wing aircraft. They also inspect and maintain hydraulic/pneumatics and structure systems related to the AV-8/TAV-8.
Marines with this MOS use a variety of equipment and weapons to maintain and repair aircraft. They use hand and power tools, such as wrenches, pliers, and drills, to remove and install parts.
Marines with this MOS can progress to this position after completing requirements of MOS 6251.
