6282 safety equipment

The Marine Corps MOS 6282 is a fixed-wing aircraft safety equipment mechanic. They inspect, maintain, and repair aircraft safety equipment and systems for the AV-8/TAV-8. They use a variety of equipment and weapons to maintain and repair aircraft. They use hand and power tools, such as wrenches, pliers, and drills, to remove and install parts.

Each MOS designates a specific system for which marines will be trained on.
