The Marine Corps MOS 6288 is a Fixed-Wing Aircraft Safety Equipment Mechanic, F-35B. They inspect, maintain, and repair the safety equipment on fixed-wing aircraft used by the Marine Corps. They use a variety of equipment and weapons to maintain and repair aircraft. They use hand and power tools, such as wrenches, pliers, and drills, to remove and install parts.
