6531 ordnance technician

The Marine Corps MOS 6531 is an Aircraft Ordnance Technician. This MOS involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing weapons systems on Marine Corps aircraft. They also load aviation ordnance on aircraft. 6531s work in the Aviation Ordnance Division of the Aircraft Maintenance Department. They are usually assigned to a Marine Attack or Fighter/ Attack (VMA/ VMFA) squadron, or a Marine Light Attack Helicopter (HMLA) squadron.
