7314 aerial vechicle operator
The Marine Corps MOS 7314 is for Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Operators. These operators are aircrew members who remotely pilot vehicles. They are responsible for planning, coordinating, and integrating unmanned aircraft system missions. They use various networks to communicate with the payload operator, mission commander, and others.
MOS 7314 is part of Occupational Field 73, which also includes Navigators and Unmanned Aircraft System Officers/Operators. Enlisted Marines can become UAV operators straight out of high school. However, Marines must become commissioned officers to fly manned aircraft.
MOS 7314 operators have a minimum of 24 months of obligated service after completing the MQ-9 Enlisted Course.
