7316 aerial vechicle operator
The Marine Corps MOS 7316 is the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) for External Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Operators. These operators are responsible for the initial takeoff and final landing phases of UAV operations. They also receive training on how to gather and interpret aerial intelligence imagery.
The Marine Corps is seeking qualified Marines to laterally move into the 7316 MOS. The SUAS schoolhouse (SUASS) is being developed and will be in place from March 1, 2022 until October 1, 2023.
The Marine Corps also has the MOS 7314, which is for Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Operators. These operators plan, coordinate, and integrate unmanned aircraft systems missions. They also remotely pilot the air vehicle.
