0149 - Substance Abuse Control Officer (SACO)

Summary

Substance Abuse Control Officers (SACOs) provide substance abuse education/prevention, urinalysis/alcohol screening and assistance to the commander on substance abuse related matters.

This MOS will be assigned only as FMOS.

Authority to issue this additional MOS will remain with the local command delegated to the unit level.

This MOS is also held by SNCO SAC Specialist.
