0241 - Imagery Analysis Specialist

Summary

MOS 0241, Imagery Intelligence Specialist is an entry-level primary MOS.

Imagery Intelligence Specialists exploit and analyze imagery gathered by various space-based or airborne platforms and sensors.

Sensors may include infrared, lasers, electro-optics, and radar.

Utilizing photogrammetric skills and a suite of software tools, analysts derive critical information and create a variety of imagery intelligence products.

These products support the commanders decision-making process by reducing uncertainty about the, situation, environment, and enemy forces.

Prerequisites

Must be a U.S citizen.

Must possess a GT score of 110 or higher.

Must have normal color vision and normal stereoscopic acuity verified by a medical officer.

Security requirement: must meet sensitive compartmented information (SCI) eligibility guidelines based on a single scope background investigation/T5 investigation.

Lateral move applicants must be a corporal (maximum 12 months TIG) or below, (waiver able by MMEA) of any MOS.

Sergeants may be considered if otherwise exceptionally qualified and have less than one year time in grade at the time of application.

Requirements

Must successfully complete the Tactical Imagery Analysis Course (TIAC) (N46CTY2), Marine Corps Detachment Dam Neck, VA.

Must have 36 months obligated service remaining upon completion of MOS training.

All Marines requesting a lateral move into the 0241 MOS, USMC and USMCR, must have a screening interview conducted by a 0241 GySgt or MSgt.

Interview waivers can be granted only by the 0241/0261 OccFld Specialist or CMC (MM).

Marines who execute a lateral move to the 0241 MOS must attend PMOS training within 6 months.
