1766 - Radio Frequency Operator
Summary
Radio Frequency Operators are wideband transmission systems Marines who have acquired introductory level training in C5ISRT communication systems.
They serve as radio frequency operators equipped with information warfare technology and are also responsible for communications systems to facilitate command and control.
Prerequisites
Must be a U.S.
citizen.
Security requirement: must have a current T5 investigation and adjudicated for SCI eligibility.
Requirements
Complete the Army Space Control Fundamentals Course (ASCF) (F25M114), US Army Space and Missile Defense Center of Excellence (USA SMDCoE), Colorado Springs, CO.
Following completion of ASCF, complete Marine Corps Systems Command new equipment training program.
MOS 1766 is assigned upon approval of the Information Maneuver Occupational Field Manager.
This MOS may be awarded to Marines that previously completed the listed training.
Any of these requirements may be waived by the Deputy Commandant for Information based on educational or work experience.
