2611 - Cryptologic Cyberspace Analyst

Summary

THIS MOS IS MAINTAINED IN THE MOS MANUAL BECAUSE IT APPEARS IN THE RECORDS OF MARINES STILL ON ACTIVE DUTY.

Cryptologic Cyberspace Analysts are involved in all facets of planning and conduct of digital network collection and analysis.

Operators must perform digital signals search missions; measure, evaluate and classify digital network signals.

Operators must be familiar with computer hardware and software programs to include network operating systems.

The duties for NMOS 2611 encompass digital network analysis, product reporting, and information warfare planning support.

Marines must be familiar with the conduct of SIGINT, EW, and CO in support of the marine air ground task force (MAGTF) at both team and battalion levels and be prepared to contribute to each as deemed necessary by the unit commander.

Marines holding this NMOS may be assigned to a BIC within their occupational field that has been coded with one or more DoD cyber workforce framework (DCWF) work role codes.

Prerequisites

Must be a U.S.

citizen.

Must currently hold PMOS of: 2621, 2629, 2631, 2641, 2651.

Security requirement: must have a current single scope background investigation/T5 investigation and adjudicated for sensitive compartmented information (SCI) eligibility.

Must successfully complete a counter-intelligence scope polygraph examination.

Complete the Joint Cyber Analysis (JCAC) Course (N23CUQ1), Pensacola, FL.
