4406 - Master of Environmental Law

Summary

A Master of Environmental Law provides specialized skill in technical areas of Environmental and Land Use Law.

Prerequisites

Must hold a Master of Law degree (LL.M.) in Environmental or Land Use Law; from an American Bar Association accredited program.

Must be in the rank of Major or Lieutenant Colonel.

Judge Advocates who obtain the necessary LL.M.

as a Captain will not receive the additional MOS until promoted to the rank of Major.

Requirements

Judge Advocate Division, in conjunction with DC, M&RA (MMOA), is responsible for assignment of this AMOS.

Duties

Judge Advocates with a Master of Laws degree in Environmental or Land Use Law serve in billets requiring an understanding of statutory and regulatory environmental and land use issues.

May serve in any other MOS 4402 billet.
