5567 - Musician, Vocalist
Summary
Vocalists perform in a Marine Corps Band for concerts, ceremonies, small ensembles, as a soloist, and various other official functions in support of the Marine Corps Bands’ mission.
Vocalists perform additional duties in support of band operations, such as unit supply, unit administrative assistant, and music librarian.
Additional increased responsibilities relating to music performance are assigned based on grade/experience, such as instrumental group leader or leader of a small ensemble.
Vocalists may be assigned to complete the Live Production Technician Course and be assigned additional duties of sound engineer.
Prerequisites
Must possess MOS 5524.
Requirements
Must be a proficient vocalist.
Must be capable of performing basic percussion or other relevant instrument with the ceremonial marching band.
