5816 - Special Reaction Team (SRT) Member
Summary
Special Reaction Team Members are Military Policeman trained to counter and/or contain a high-risk incident surpassing normal law enforcement capabilities.
Members are trained on enhanced marksmanship, tactical movement, entry, breaching, and clearing objectives in order to neutralize threats.
Prerequisites
Must currently hold and maintain all prerequisites of PMOS 5811.
Must have obtained the grade of Corporal or higher.
Must be a volunteer.
Possess a high degree of maturity and self-control.
Maintain minimum first class physical fitness standards.
Qualify as and maintain an expert with service rifle and pistol.
Requirements
Complete the Special Reaction Team Course (Phase I) (A16MRX3), U.S.
Army Military Police School, Ft Leonard Wood, MO.
Or completion of the Marine Corps Police Academy (MCPA) SRT Phase I Training.
