7002 - Expeditionary Airfield and Emergency Services Officer
Summary
The Expeditionary Airfield and Emergency Services Officer conducts planning for and oversees the installation, operation, and maintenance of airfield surfacing materials, expeditionary visual landing aids, and aircraft recovery equipment.
In addition these officers conduct the planning for and direct structural and aircraft firefighting, rescue, and salvage and recovery operations.
Prerequisites
This MOS may only be assigned to Warrant Officers who previously were qualified in one of the following enlisted MOSs 7011 and 7051.
Must meet the medical standards as required per reference (bc), The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1582; and reference (cq), The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 29 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) 1910.234.
Requirements
Complete the Warrant Officer Basic Course (WOBC) (M02RMN4) within 18 months of appointment to WO.
WO: Complete the Marine Expeditionary Airfield Equipment Course (N2370D2) at NAS, Pensacola, FL.
Complete the Fire Protection Apprentice (Air Force) Course (F0764T2) at Goodfellow Air Force Base, San Angelo, TX.
Complete the Marine Expeditionary Airfield Advance Course (N2370L2) at NAS, Pensacola, FL.
Complete the Marine Survey and Assault Zone Assessment (MSAAZA) Course at MAWTS-1 Yuma, AZ.
This course will be rewarded by unit funds.
CWO5 to CWO2: Complete the Contingency Airfield Pavement Evaluation (CAPE) Course, Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency Tyndall, Air Force Base, FL .
This course will be rewarded by unit funds.
Complete the MAWTS-1, Weapons and Tactics Instructors Course (M149731) at MAWTS-1 Yuma, AZ.
