7536 - AV-8B Weapons Training Officer (WTO) Qualification

Summary

WTO personnel are subject matter experts and instructors in the aircraft weapons, systems, sensors, threat countermeasures, and mission planning tools.

This MOS will be assigned only as a Necessary MOS to qualified aviation personnel.

Prerequisites

Designated section leader in accordance with the AV-8B T&R Manual.

Security requirement: secret or higher security clearance.

Nominated by squadron commanding officer.

Complete with IUT stage and requirements.

Complete with all 2000 and 3000 level codes in the AV-8B T&R Manual.

Requirements

Complete the Weapons Training Officer (WTO) program in accordance with the MAWTS-1 AV-8B Course Catalog.

Duties

Upon meeting all eligibility listed for the certification of this MOS, the individual recipient shall coordinate with their unit administration department to ensure this MOS is added to their Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) in order to accurately reflect the corresponding aviation qualification/designation within their permanent record.
