7544 - Forward Air Controller (Airborne) Instructor (FAC(A)I) Qualification

Summary

Capable of conducting ground and airborne instruction of FAC(A) missions.

Emphasis will be placed on the ability to coordinate simultaneous FW and RW CAS, surface fires (direct and indirect), while working with a TACP and operating within the MACCS.

This MOS will be assigned only as a Necessary PMOS to qualified aviation personnel.

Duties

Upon meeting all eligibility listed for the certification of this MOS, the individual recipient shall coordinate with their unit administration department to ensure this MOS is added to their Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) in order to accurately reflect the corresponding aviation qualification/designation within their permanent record.
