LS Logistics Specialist

The Navy job Logistics Specialist (LS) is equivalent to the Army’s military occupational specialty (MOS) 92, Automated Logistical Specialist.

Logistics Specialists (LS) provide logistics and accounting support to aviation, surface, subsurface, and expeditionary forces.

They are responsible for: Ordering, receiving, inspecting, stowing, preserving, packaging, shipping, and issuing materials and cargo Operating Navy post offices Maintaining logistics and financial publications and CD-ROM libraries Providing customer service Managing inventories of repair parts and general supplies

LSs are a key component for all Navy operations, providing the parts and materials necessary to complete vital maritime missions around the world.

LSs may stay at the squadron, or they may get loaned to a ship.
