612X Operations (Surface) LDO

In the US Navy, 612X is a Limited Duty Officer (LDO) for operations on the surface. LDOs are officers of the line or staff in the Regular Navy and Navy Reserve. They are appointed to perform duties in broad occupational fields indicated by their former warrant designators or enlisted rating groups.
