632X Aviation Operations Specialty LDO

The Aviation Operations Specialty LDO (632X) in the U.S. Navy is responsible for operational planning requirements for fleet staffs. They use their knowledge of U.S. and foreign submarines.

Limited Duty Officers (LDOs) are experts and leaders in the Navy enlisted rating or Marine Corps enlisted MOS from which they came. They are considered more the officer and less the technician as compared to the chief warrant officer (CWO).

Applicants for LDO must have: Demonstrated strong leadership traits Adaptability Produced a body of work that equates to potential success as a Naval Officer Significant in-rate experience

Aviation Ordnance Limited Duty Officers serve as officer technical managers in the field of operations and maintenance of aviation ordnance and aircraft armament.
