ND Navy Diver

ND stands for Navy Diver.

Navy Divers perform the following duties: Underwater salvage, recovery, repair, and maintenance on ships and submarines Searching for and recovering downed aircraft Conducting harbor clearance operations Providing assistance to military, federal, state, and local civilian law enforcement agencies in diving operations and procedures

The Navy uses ratings within the Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) system to organize its jobs. The Army and Marines use the Military Occupational Specialty Code (MOS) and the Air Force uses the Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC).
