752X Food Service Technician CWO

The US Navy’s Food Service Technician CWO (752X) is a technical specialist in food service, lodging, and the administration of messing activities. They complete a six-month supply Basic Qualification Course (BQC) in Newport, RI.

To become a Food Service Technician CWO, applicants must: Be US citizens Be serving on active duty at a paygrade of E7 through E9 (Chief Petty Officer to MCPO) Have a high-school diploma or an equivalent degree accepted by the Navy Have a clean record in terms of courts-martial or non-military judicial proceedings Possess good arithmetic and verbal skills, creative ability, and record-keeping skills Have an interest in nutrition and culinary arts

Food Service Technicians: Develop, coordinate, and monitor budget requirements for food service equipment and expendable supplies Plan, train, and implement changes in nutritional awareness programs, modification of menus, and implementation of low calorie menus

The Warrant Officer Program is open to all enlisted Navy people with the rank of chief petty officer or above and have completed at least 12 years of naval service.
