Privacy Policy

This policy covers mosroadmap.com, the member portal, and the MOS Roadmap Chrome extension. MOS Roadmap is built by veterans for service members and veterans. We don’t sell your personal information.

What we collect

Account details: your email address and sign-in information (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase).
What you create: résumés, cover letters, job applications and boards, study sets, interview practice and saved scores. This is stored in your account so you can use it across devices.
Billing: payments are processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status and a Stripe customer ID, never your card number.
AI requests: when you use an AI feature, the text needed for that request (for example your résumé and a job description) is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate the result. We keep usage counts to run the credit system.
Basic analytics: pages visited and feature usage, to improve the product.

The Chrome extension

When it reads a page: only on the job and application sites listed in its permissions, or on another site after you choose “Allow on this site”, and only to find the job details and the form fields to fill.
What it fills: it fills forms using your MOS Roadmap résumé and the answers you set in the extension. It never submits an application for you.
Stored only in your browser: your application answers (work authorization, veteran status, self-identification choices, salary and start-date notes) and the résumé file you add for uploads. These are not sent to our servers.
Sent to your account: only what you choose to save — jobs you save to a board, cover letters you write, and résumés you import from LinkedIn.
AI answers: when you click “Draft with AI”, the question, the job description and your résumé go through our AI service to write the draft (this uses 1 credit).
Sign-in: the extension receives a sign-in token from mosroadmap.com when you click “Connect”, and keeps it in your browser. “Sign out of the extension” deletes it.
Browsing: the extension does not collect your browsing history and does not track you across sites.

How we use information

To provide and improve MOS Roadmap: keeping your documents and tracker, running AI features you request, processing payments, sending emails you asked for (like score alerts), and keeping the service secure. We do not use your information for advertising profiles, and we don’t sell or rent it.

We share information only with the providers that run the service (Supabase for data and sign-in, Stripe for payments, OpenAI for AI features, Netlify for hosting), when the law requires it, or with your consent.

Your choices

Edit or delete your documents at any time in the portal.
Delete your account from Account & billing. This deletes your data and cancels any subscription.
Remove the extension at any time; its stored answers and file are removed with it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access to your records is limited to your account through row-level security.

Children

MOS Roadmap is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
