Its DoW SkillBridge program gives service members industry-specific training, certifications and on-the-job experience. Many engineering and program roles require an active clearance and U.S. citizenship, so put clearance and certifications first, then prove you've already worked on the kind of equipment L3Harris builds.

Bullet formula: [Action] + [for which customer or mission] + [measurable result]. This mirrors L3Harris's Excellence value (flawless execution, customer focus). Example: "Fielded 140 radios for a 3,800-soldier brigade with zero missed communication windows."

Do

  • Lead with clearance level and status, then certifications. Many L3Harris roles screen on both.
  • Name the equipment you've fielded, maintained or trained others on, at an unclassified level. Many service members already use L3Harris radios and avionics.
  • Show customer focus: who you supported, how many users, and what "mission ready" meant in numbers.
  • If you're still serving, check SkillBridge eligibility: 180 days or fewer until separation and at least 180 continuous days of service.

Avoid

  • Don't list duties without outcomes. L3Harris's values emphasize flawless execution.
  • Don't leave radio, crypto or network terms as bare acronyms. Spell out what they are the first time.
  • Don't overstate your clearance ("TS eligible" is not "Active TS"). Integrity is the first L3Harris value.
