Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CEH) preferred.
- Experience with security tools and technologies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Duties
- Protect space systems and networks from cyber threats.
- Implement cybersecurity policies and controls.
- Monitor systems for intrusions and anomalies.
- Respond to and mitigate cyber incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Develop security architectures and frameworks for space systems.

Civilian cybersecurity professionals receive training in network security, threat detection, and incident response. Specialized courses focus on space system security, encryption technologies, and cyber defense tactics. Professionals may also participate in advanced cybersecurity training and certification programs.
