The three-year use period begins on the start date of your first funded course.

It can fund approved licenses, certifications, occupation-focused associate degrees, qualifying continuing education, national tests used to earn credit toward an approved degree and certificates that constitute eligible recognized credentials—not bachelor’s degrees, books or school fees.

You need an approved Education and Training Plan and a separate funding authorization before each course or exam begins.

Scholarship assistance is subject to available program funding. Eligibility does not create a guaranteed entitlement.

Spouses who separately meet SpouseWorks service eligibility may use career coaching even if they do not qualify for scholarship funding.

MyCAA eligibility now covers military spouses across all ranks

The MyCAA military spouse scholarship accepts eligible spouses of sponsors in all ranks and pay grades. The old E-1–E-9, W-1–W-3 and O-1–O-3 list is outdated. You can receive up to $4,000 total, with no more than $2,000 per fiscal year, for an approved license, certification, eligible recognized credential or occupation-focused associate degree. Assistance remains subject to available program funding.
