MOS Roadmap is an independent reference site maintained by Sgt Hashim, a Marine Corps veteran. Our guides help readers understand military careers, benefits, and practical application steps. Government agencies and program administrators make eligibility and payment decisions.
Sources and effective dates
For benefits, rates, deadlines, and eligibility rules, we prioritize the administering agency’s current documents. We link to the relevant rule or application page so readers can check its scope and effective date. A federal rule, state rule, provider offer, and historical program are different things; an article should make that distinction clear.
An updated date records a substantive edit. It does not mean every detail on the page has been independently reverified on that date. Provider inventories and local processing times can change; a service discount does not guarantee a free device.
AI assistance and editorial responsibility
Our newer editorial guides use AI to help research official sources, draft explanations, and edit prose. These pages carry an AI-assistance notice. Automated drafting and factual checks can make mistakes and do not constitute review by an attorney, clinician, accredited representative, or government agency.
The publishing process includes a separate check of consequential claims and source links. Drafts with unresolved factual or source checks are held for correction. We remain responsible for published content and correct errors brought to our attention. Some older articles predate this process and are being updated.
Articles are published under Sgt Hashim’s byline. The byline identifies editorial responsibility; it does not imply that every article describes his personal experience or was written without AI assistance. We do not claim interviews, credentials, or professional review unless that work actually occurred and is identified. No byline implies government approval.
Corrections
Use the contact page to report an error. Include the article URL, the sentence or figure in question, and an official source if available. We check the relevant evidence and update the affected content when a correction is warranted.
For a deadline or decision affecting your coverage, pay, or benefits, consult the linked administrator directly. An article cannot replace the terms of your own orders, award letter, coverage notice, or eligibility decision.
