31D CID Special Agent

The Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 31D is for Army Criminal Investigations Special Agents. These agents investigate felony crimes involving the Army and Army assets.

They may investigate crimes such as espionage, treason, and terrorism. Their duties include: Conducting independent investigations Interviewing witnesses Questioning suspects Maintaining Army records Providing support for forensics Providing protective services

The training for a Criminal Investigations Special Agent includes 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. The skills learned as a Criminal Investigations Special Agent can be used in federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, as well as private security companies.
