The Marine Corps MOS 7236 is Tactical Air Defense Controller. Tactical Air Defense Controllers direct aircraft to intercept hostile aircraft, control friendly aircraft, and coordinate surface-to-air weapons and interceptors. They also advise on the effective use of battle management assets.

The MOS 7236 is not an entry-level MOS or school. It’s for Sergeant to Master Gunnery Sergeant only. It’s not something to worry about until you have several successful years of USMC service and are ready for career advancement. The MOS 7236 is related to civilian credentials that may require additional education, training, or experience.
