0204 - Counterintelligence/Human Source Intelligence Officer

Summary

CI/HUMINT Officers serve in both counterintelligence and human intelligence billets.

They command and/or lead CI/HUMINT units in tactical information gathering operations and activities in support of identified collection requirements.

CI/HUMINT Officers command, plan, and direct the employment and execution of CI/HUMINT units and approved HUMINT operations, and CI and sensitive activities (SA).

CI/HUMINT Officers advise commanders and staffs on information collection efforts and CI/HUMINT/SA operations and activities.

Through the intelligence officer, they support the overall intelligence effort of the command.

Marines in this MOS may be assigned to a BIC (within their occupational field) that has been coded with one or more DoD cyber workforce framework (DCWF) work role codes.

Please reference DoDI 8140.10, DoDM 8140.10, and the MOS roadmap for additional training and certification requirements associated with these work role codes.

Prerequisites

Must submit to a counterintelligence scope polygraph examination.

Officers attempting to register for the 0204 training track outside ELT must be screened and recommended by a panel at DCI IID, HQMC.

Security requirement: must meet sensitive compartmented information (SCI) eligibility guidelines based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI)/T5 investigation.

Requirements

Completed the Tactical Intelligence Officer Course (TIOC) (N46CU22), Marine Corps Intelligence Schools, Marine Corps Detachment Dam Neck, VA.

Complete the MAGTF Counter Intelligence/Human Intelligence Course (N46HFW2), Marine Corps Intelligence Schools, Marine Corps Detachment Dam Neck, VA.

Complete the MAGTF Counter Intelligence/Human Intelligence Officer Course (CIHIOC) (N460JN2), Marine Corps Detachment, Dam Neck, VA.

Upon completion of this course, Marine Corps Detachment Dam Neck personnel will assign PMOS 0202 and this NMOS to the Marine.
