0275 - Collection Management Officer

Summary

Intelligence collection requirements managers are subject matter experts on the planning, development, and execution of a collection strategy in support of a commander’s priority intelligence requirements (PIR) and generic intelligence requirements (IR) derived from analytical centers and intelligence staffs.

Collection management officers support MAGTF operations by directing a unit’s intelligence collection management professionals in the execution of a synchronized collection plan to support the commander’s decision making process.

Prerequisites

Security requirement: must meet sensitive compartmented information eligibility guidelines based on a single scope background investigation/T5 investigation.

Must posses PMOS 0202, 0205, 0210, or 2602.

Requirements

Must complete the Naval Collection Manager’s Course (N46KY32) at MARDET Dam Neck.

NMOS 0275 may be awarded to both active and reserve Marines as a Necessary MOS.

Duties

NMOS 0275 Collection Management Officers develop, coordinate, and implement the collection effort for the MEU, MLR, MEF, MARFOR, COCOM and Service level Intelligence echelons.

They possess working knowledge of organic, attached, and supporting collection capabilities and their respective request procedures.
