0322 - Reconnaissance Marine, Sniper Qualified

Summary

The Reconnaissance Sniper conducts precision fires utilizing light, medium, and heavy scoped rifles.

Employed as part of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force, joint task force or joint force, the Reconnaissance Sniper is an expert in low visibility, multi-domain collection operations, and provides the reconnaissance team with a capability to precisely shape the operational environment through the delivery of precision direct fire.

Prerequisites

Have no history of mental illness.

Must have a current first class PFT.

Must hold MOS 0321, Reconnaissance Marine.

Must be currently qualified as an expert rifleman.

Must have a minimum GT Score of 105 or higher.

Security requirement: secret security clearance required.

Requirements

Reconnaissance Marines must successfully complete the Reconnaissance Sniper Course (M100Z32).

Additionally, Reconnaissance Marines (PMOS 0321) who have previously completed Sniper training via Scout Sniper Basic Course at WTBN Quantico (M0281Z9), SOI-E (M0381Z4), SOI-W (M1081Z2) may submit documentation of Scout Sniper Basic Course completion to Deputy Commandant, Plans, Policies, & Operations (POF) for awarding of MOS 0322.
