0352 - Antitank Missile Gunner

Summary

The Antitank Missile Gunner is responsible for the tactical employment of the M41A7 Improved Target Acquisition System (ITAS) Saber and M98A1 Javelin Weapons System during anti-armor operations and tactical vehicle operations.

They provide medium and heavy anti-armor fire in support of the infantry battalion, LAR battalion, and the MAGTF.

They are located in the anti-armor platoon within the weapons company of the infantry battalions and LAR battalions.

Noncommissioned officers are assigned as gunners and squad leaders.

Prerequisites

Must possess a GT score of 95 or MM score of 95 or higher.

Must have normal color vision, and vision of 20/200, correctable to 20/20.

Must have a past driving record appropriate for issue of SF-46 as evidenced by a search of the National Driver Register.

Must possess the psychological and physiological qualifications required for licensing as a government motor vehicle operator (see reference (ar) and (as)).

Must meet initial strength test standards associated with PEF assignments as listed in the glossary (pg.

xiv) prior to shipping to recruit training.

Must meet MOS classification standards as listed in the glossary (pg.

xiv) prior to graduating from recruit training.

Must have a WS-B water survival.

Requirements

Complete the Infantry Marine Course (M03RG34) SOI Camp Lejeune, NC; or (M10RG32) SOI Camp Pendleton, CA.

Complete the Infantry Anti-Tank Missile Gunner Course (M03T2B4) at SOI, Camp Lejeune, NC.

Complete the Infantry Anti-Tank Missile Gunner Course (M10T2B2) at SOI Camp Pendleton, CA; or (M03T2B4) at SOI, Camp Lejeune, NC.

Complete IMC, then appropriate MOJT.

Team/Squad leaders will complete the Advanced Anti-Tank Missile Gunner Course (M10MUR2) at SOI Camp Pendleton, CA; or (M03MUR4) at SOI Camp Lejeune, NC.
