0505 - Operational Planner

Summary

Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Planners complete an advanced education program (service or joint) that prepares them to lead operational planning teams and conduct actions surrounding complex issues.

MAGTF planner billets will be allocated to CMC-specified priorities on selected Marine Corps staffs in planning and operational billets.

Designated billets will be allocated via proportional share with emphasis on marine expeditionary forces (MEFs) and major subordinate commands (MSCs), then to marine component headquarters and the staffs of deputy commandants.
