0550 - Advanced Information Operations Planner
Summary
Advanced Information Operations Planners plan, coordinate, execute and assess information.
These officers advise commanding generals, their staff sections and MAGTF commanders on the conduct of information as well as the development of policy and doctrine for full spectrum information activities.
This is done as part of a larger information forces staff, from the MEF major subordinate command level up to joint/theater level staffs.
This MOS will be assigned to officers as a non-PMOS only by the CMC (MM).
Prerequisites
Security requirement: active secret security clearance.
Must be currently in or have orders to fill, an Information Planner billet.
Requirements
Complete the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Atlantic’s (EWTGLANT) Staff Operations in the Information Environment Planner Course (SOPC) (N03HE51), Norfolk, VA.
Rank of Capt and below must also complete the EWTGLANT, Intermediate MAGTF Operations in the Information Environment Practitioner Course (MOPC) (N03F2G1).
Any of these requirements may be waived by the Deputy Commandant for Information based on unique work or educational experience.
