0914 - Marine Special Operations Forces Instructor
Summary
Marine Special Operations Forces Instructors train and certify Marines in entry level or advanced special operations skills.
They serve as mentors and coaches, assisting student in the development of problem solving, critical thinking, and cognitive abilities for adaptive decision making.
They enable students to master the skills necessary to conduct globally sensitive missions in complex environments.
Prerequisites
Must meet the prerequisites prescribed in MCO 1553.2C Marine Corps Formal School Management Policy.
Must meet the standards screening checklist of special assignments per MCO 1326.6 Selecting, Screening and Preparing Enlisted Marines for screenable billets and independent duty assignments.
Must meet Marine Corps height, weight and body composition standards.
Must be a Sergeant or above.
Mastery of the Marine’s PMOS.
Must maintain the USMC standards for PFT and CFT for their PMOS.
Successful completion of the: Special Operations Training Course (M03DTZK); Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape Level C Course (M03M47K), and MARSOC Special Operations Force (SOF) Level 1 Training.
Requirements
Must possess one of the following primary military occupational specialties (PMOS): 0211, 0231, 0241, 0261, 0372, 0621, 0629, 0631, 0639, 0671, 0679, 0699, 2336, 2629, 2651, 2691, 2841.
Must successfully complete the MARSOC Instructor Qualification Course (MO3YEQK) at the Marine Raider Training Center (MRTC) in Camp Lejeune, NC.
Must be appointed in writing as a MRTC Instructor.
