4513 - Advanced Visual Information-Graphics Marine

Summary

Advanced Visual Information – Graphics (AVI-G) Marines are the 45XX occupational field enlisted visual information specialists, specifically trained and experienced in graphic arts and design disciplines.

AVI-G Marines serve as the Service’s advanced storytellers through their extensive education and experience in visual communication disciplines.

AVI-G Marines use multidisciplinary techniques and elements to create master-level visual communication products that present information with strong visual impact and that can be used in multiple formats across a wide range of communication spaces.

They are responsible for conducting technical training and education in the graphic art and design disciplines to Fleet Marine Force and Supporting Establishment Communication Strategy and Operations (COMMSTRAT) Marines, and will develop training plans that ensure individual and collective Training and Readiness task compliance.

AVI-G Marines will directly supervise the implementation of the 45XX indoctrination and managed-on-the job training (MOJT) programs related to 4512 technical skillsets and provide 1st-level validation of skills competency.

AVI-G Marines will mentor junior Marines in the technical disciplines of graphic art and design and provide technical counsel to senior COMMSTRAT staff non-commissioned officers and officers regarding visual communication theory, application, and capabilities.
