7595 - Test Pilot/Flight Test Project Officer
Summary
Test Pilot/Flight Test Project Officers perform functional ground checks and flight tests to obtain performance data of aircraft and/or installed systems.
Prerequisites
Security requirement: secret security clearance eligibility.
Requirements
This MOS is to be assigned only as a non-PMOS to pilots, NFOs, and UAS EWOs who have completed training, Experimental Test Pilot Course (F10A8R1) at the U.S.
Naval Test Pilot School, NAS, Patuxent River, MD, or equivalent.

Duties
Pilots in an aircraft or UAS operators for qualitative evaluation or qualitative collection of data of structure, workmanship, crew station arrangement, functional equipment, flight performance, stability and control, maximum and minimum velocity, and uncontrolled flight characteristics.
Records the reading of appropriate instruments and/or reactions of aircraft to various maneuvers.
Evaluates and records the performance of installed equipment and weapons systems.
Provides engineering personnel with recommendations on engineering matters observed during flights.
Writes technical reports using information collected.
Upon meeting all eligibility listed for the certification of this MOS, the individual recipient shall coordinate with their unit administration department to ensure this MOS is added to their Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) in order to accurately reflect the corresponding aviation qualification/designation within their permanent record.
