CS Culinary Specialist
The Navy Culinary Specialist (CS) MOS is a job that involves operating and managing Navy messes and living quarters for naval personnel. CSs estimate the types and quantities of food needed, and assist Supply Officers with ordering and storing food items. They also prepare menus, manage food inventories, and maintain financial records.
CSs receive extensive training in culinary arts, hotel management, and other hospitality industry areas. They are trained in all aspects of food, including preparation, accounting, and logistics. The minimum monthly pay for a CS in 2023 is $4,957.20.
