Aviation Resource Management specialists (1C0X2) are crucial in performing and managing Host Aviation Resource Management (HARM) and Squadron Aviation Resource Management (SARM) functions. These functions encompass scheduling, standardization and evaluation, flying and ground training, maintenance of aviation flight records, parachutist jump records, and squadron operations. They are also responsible for operating and maintaining the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS).

Duties and Responsibilities
- Resource Management: Plans, organizes, and directs aircrew and parachutist resource activities, ensuring accuracy in aviation mission reports and supporting aviation management policies.
- Scheduling and Training: Manages aircrew training schedules, aircraft sorties, and monitors individual flight requirements and unit flying hours.
- Data Maintenance: Maintains ARMS data, ensuring security access control and advising on system requirements and modifications.
- Record Keeping: Produces and maintains accurate aviation flight and parachutist jump records, files, and reports, while also reviewing and recommending changes to aviation resource management procedures.
Specialty Qualifications
- Knowledge: Understanding of duty classifications, aviation management policies, aircrew qualification training, flying hours, and incentive pay is mandatory.
- Education: High school diploma with courses in oral communications and computer operations is preferred.
- Training: Completion of the basic aviation resource management course is required for entry into this AFSC.
- Experience: Progression through the AFSC necessitates experience in scheduling, record maintenance, and ARMS operation, with advanced roles involving the interpretation and preparation of resource management policies.
