6048 flight equipment technician

The Marine Corps MOS 6048 is for Flight Equipment Technicians. These technicians are responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing parachutes and other aviation-related gear. They also inspect flight survival equipment that may be needed in the event of an emergency ejection.

The MOS 6048 is also known as Flight E, short for Flight Equipment.
